A Primary-Age Educational Provision for Muslim Homeschooling Families
The Growery is a part-time educational provision for Muslim homeschooling families, designed to support children at primary age through experience-led learning, deep academic foundations, and faith-rooted human formation.
The Growery exists to support parents in fulfilling their responsibility to educate the whole child — intellectually, physically, socially, and spiritually.
What Makes the Growery Different

Parents Reclaimed as Primary Educators
Rather than removing responsibility from parents, the Growery intentionally returns responsibility and agency to families. Our shortened provision is designed to reclaim time for deep parenting, character formation, and the transmission of heritage.
A Qur’anic Worldview, Not a Bolted-On Subject
Islam is not confined to “Islamic Studies”. Faith, meaning, and ethics are embedded across the curriculum, shaping how children understand language, number, history, nature, and responsibility.
Education of the Whole Human (Insaan al-Kamil)
The Growery is built on the obligation to educate the whole child (mind, body, relationships, and soul) guided by the Prophetic model of human flourishing. Learning is never reduced to academic performance alone.
Integrated, Civilisational Learning
Subjects are not taught in isolation. Through World Learning, history, geography, science, and culture are reintegrated so children begin with holistic understanding, rather than fragmented knowledge shaped by modern schooling assumptions.
Experiential & Outdoor Learning as Core
Outdoor and experiential learning are not enrichment activities; they are central modes of learning. Children engage physically, emotionally, and intellectually with the world, developing confidence, stewardship, and resilience.
The Growery does not uncritically inherit a secular, Western-centric curriculum. Instead, knowledge is re-centred within an Islamic civilisational framework, allowing children to grow with confidence, clarity, and integrity.
A Deliberately Decolonised Curriculum
Small, Relational, and Intentional
The Growery is intentionally small. Relationships matter. Children are known, supported, and guided in an environment where formation requires attention, presence, and care.
The Growery is not a school, not a madrasa, and not an online learning programme. It is a part-time educational provision designed to support homeschooling families, without outsourcing upbringing or responsibility.
Not a School — A Home-education Provision
A Shared Vision Across Families
Through workshops, extended parent meetings, and community spaces, families grow together with a shared educational vision, ensuring children experience consistency of values, expectations, and ethos.

Homeschooling works best when parents are supported, confident, and informed.
At the Growery:
We believe strong families are the foundation of strong education.
At the Growery, responsibility is returned to parents, not removed from them.
Parents are ultimately accountable for their children’s upbringing — and that responsibility cannot be outsourced to institutions.
The Growery seeks to:
Support parents with expert-led learning in key areas
Reclaim time for family life and deep parenting
Build confidence, clarity, and capability in homeschooling
Our shortened learning day is intentional. It allows children to receive high-quality education while preserving what matters most: time, bonds, and shared life.
Parents as Primary Educators
Here's what our parents say
"The Growery has been a gift from Allah swt, it started the year we were figuring out the path we wanted to take for our daughter, the Growery incorporates high values into it’s environment such as dress code, culture, eating habits, mannerisms, Islamic teachings, fitness etc, the team actively take opportunities to support guiding the children to better themselves in both secular and Islamic learning, my daughters are very comfortable and are thriving at the Growery and I would recommend it to anyone who is searching for support in homeschooling."
- Rian Almallah
"The Growery has been a blessing. Undertaking the responsibility to educate your child at home can get overwhelming, considering that true education isn't just about Maths, Science, English, etc., or other subjects. Rather, beyond the subjects, the environment in which the child grows, the different Teachers who plant the seeds and then nurture the shared values that we have, the friends and their families all play a role in the raising of one child. These human-to-human, heart-to-heart experiences of laughing, complaining and enduring the different challenges can not be achieved sitting at home with a tutor one-to-one, nor by having virtual lessons.
Growery has provided the extended family for a child to grow beyond the books in to holisticly developed young children with Islam and Fitrah at the heart of their philosophy."
- Imam Ousman Anssary
"The Growery has had an amazing impact on my child. I’ve seen an increase in his confidence, inquisitiveness and love for reading. The Ustadh is highly experienced, nurturing and genuinely invested in each child. There is a strong emphasis on excellent values, culture and Islamic upbringing. It is a lovely caring community where children are seen and supported."
